The software has been created by Documedia Inc. which specialize in e-learning, Adobe Training and Macromedia Training. Once the course is built, eLab Builder generates an XML file and a CSS file that interacts with the eLab Player.

The eLab Builder is a standalone application that permits the integration of content into predefined learning activities. eLab Builder permits the designer to determine the course structure, integrate the content, determine which media elements will appear, set quiz and interactivity parameters.
